SpanOne Digital LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Klarr mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the App.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Email address, name, and authentication credentials when you create an account or sign in via Google or Apple.
- Resume and profile data: Resume content, educational background, work experience, skills, job preferences, and career goals that you provide to enable Klarr's core features.
- Job data: Job descriptions and URLs you add to the App for analysis.
- Voice recordings: Audio recordings made during interview practice sessions. These are transcribed and immediately discarded — no audio is stored.
- Payment information: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: How you interact with the App, features used, and session activity.
- Device information: Device type, operating system, and push notification tokens for delivering notifications.
- Analytics: Aggregated, anonymized usage statistics to improve the App.
- Crash reports: We collect anonymous crash reports and error logs to diagnose issues and improve app stability. This data does not include personal information such as your name, email, or resume content.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
- Generate AI-powered fit scores, insights, interview guides, and career recommendations
- Send push notifications and in-app communications relevant to your job search
- Process subscription purchases and manage your account
- Improve the App's features and user experience
- Respond to your support requests and communications
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI Processing
Klarr uses Anthropic's Claude AI to analyze your resume and job descriptions and generate personalized guidance. Your resume and job data are transmitted to Anthropic's API for processing. Anthropic's use of this data is governed by their privacy policy at anthropic.com/privacy. We do not use your data to train AI models.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), which provides enterprise-grade security. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
Resume content and profile data are stored in your account and cached locally on your device for performance. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support@klarr.ai.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: Third-party vendors who help us operate the App (Google Firebase, Anthropic). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
- College partnerships: If your institution has a Klarr college plan, your activation status (whether you have signed up) may be visible to your institution's designated administrator. Your resume, job data, and personal analysis are never shared with your institution.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice provided to you.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Anonymous usage analytics may be retained in aggregated form indefinitely.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate personal data.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data and account.
- Portability: Request a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to certain types of processing of your personal data.

8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase — data storage and authentication
- Anthropic Claude API — AI processing
- Apple App Store / Google Play Store — subscription billing
- Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In — authentication
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
